Work starts to revive Sheffield’s Manor Fields Park after fire – BBC
Work has begun to restore Sheffield’s Manor Fields Park after a fire caused significant damage. The project matters because it aims to return an important local green space and wildlife habitat to safe, usable condition for the surrounding community.
The pond area was badly damaged in a major arson attack in June 2023. Friends of Manor Fields Park raised £600, while Green Estate staff, volunteers and River Stewardship Company trainees cleaned the site, improved access to the water, repaired fencing and restored a bench.
