World’s most valuable company targeted by bandits for $11.4M shipment as truck vanishes in California

A truck carrying $11.4 million worth of Nvidia hardware disappeared while travelling from Oakland to Fort Worth, prompting an investigation into a major cargo theft. The case highlights the growing value of shipments linked to artificial intelligence infrastructure and a series of similar thefts.

The truck left on 29 August with six pallets and was last traced in San Bernardino County after making several lengthy stops. The theft was reported in early September, and no arrests have been announced. Other recent incidents include two trailers mistakenly targeted for Nvidia equipment but loaded with sand, and a separate theft of data centre servers from a trailer bound for Georgia.
