Wreckage of Bermuda to Boston medical plane found near Nantucket

Wreckage from a medical transport plane travelling from Bermuda to Boston has been found off Nantucket, Massachusetts, after the aircraft lost contact with air traffic control. The Coast Guard says the search for the six people on board is continuing, with crews working through the night.

The Gulfstream G100, operated by Latitude Air Ambulance, was carrying four Canadians and two Bermudians. Flight data showed it descending from about 25,000 feet to around 11,000 feet shortly after 1am, and its final signal was recorded at about 1.30am. The Coast Guard said it had searched 1,644 square miles over 27 hours, with support from several agencies.
