Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has accused Wrexham of a "blanket bombing" approach to the closing days of the transfer window after the Championship promotion hopefuls tabled a bid for his attacking midfielder Callum O'Hare. Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson is keen to bring in an attacking midfielder before Tuesday's transfer deadline, but Wilder said he wants the 28-year-old to remain at Bramall Lane, while acknowledging the decision would ultimately rest with the club's hierarchy.

The bid for O'Hare is reported to be worth around £6.5m. He is in his third season at Sheffield United, has played in all five of the club's matches this season, and scored against Cardiff City and in an EFL Cup win over Mansfield Town. The former Aston Villa, Carlisle United and Coventry City player still has two years left on his contract. Wilder said Wrexham had bid for "half the division" and suggested the club was casting a wide net across several targets in the same position, adding it was not yet a done deal and that he had told O'Hare to focus on Tuesday's game against Bolton Wanderers.
