Xbox Celebrates 25 Years With New Community Designs, Updates and FanFest Tour Dates (Gaming News Roundup)

Variety · 2 hours ago

Xbox is marking its 25th anniversary, which falls on 15 November, with new community-designed content, curated Game Pass collections and a schedule of FanFest Tour stops across the globe. The celebration highlights how Microsoft is leaning on community creators and nostalgia-driven game bundles to mark the milestone, while using the FanFest Tour to engage players in person at major gaming events worldwide.

Working with community creators Klobrille and Ben Kenobi, Xbox has released a collection of gamerpics, backgrounds and a dynamic console theme, alongside a free 25th Anniversary profile badge for anyone signing into their Xbox account before the end of 2026. Curated Game Pass collections spotlight titles from each console generation, including "Fable Anniversary," "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," "Fallout 4" and "Psychonauts 2." The FanFest Tour, which began in Los Angeles in June, continues with stops in Cologne (26 August), Tokyo (17 September), London (26 September), Mexico City and Sydney (both 17 October), and Toronto (6 November), with a Seattle date still to be confirmed.
