Xbox Mythic Achievements roll out to Insiders and are retroactively awarded as far back as Xbox 360 games
Microsoft has announced Mythic Achievements, a new Xbox award for players who earn every base-game Achievement in a title. The feature is rolling out to Xbox Insiders and is intended to give Xbox a completion reward similar to PlayStation’s Platinum Trophies.
Mythics exclude Achievements added later through downloadable content and will be awarded retroactively, including for Xbox 360 games. They form part of a broader refresh that adds a Gaming tab to profiles for tracking progress and viewing friends’ records; Microsoft has not announced a general release date. The update comes amid upheaval in Xbox’s gaming division, including leadership changes, layoffs and studio restructuring.
