Yaga Trailer Reveals New Series’ Horror and Seductive Side
The upcoming thriller series "Yaga" unveiled its teaser trailer at San Diego Comic-Con, offering the first proper look at a dark, sensual reimagining of the classic Baba Yaga folktale. The reveal matters for genre fans as it signals a fresh, adult-oriented spin on Slavic folklore from Crave, the Canadian streamer behind the recent hit "Heated Rivalry", ahead of its international rollout via AMC+.
The trailer introduces Carrie-Anne Moss as university professor Katherine, who narrates the Baba Yaga legend to Henry Park (Hudson Williams), setting off a chain of disappearance, obsession and magic involving private investigator Rapp (Noah Reid) and detective Carson (Clark Backo). The series is based on a play by Kat Sandler, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer, and is billed as a darker, seductive thriller take on the folktale. Yaga is scheduled to premiere on AMC+ in the US in October 2026.
