Ye Settles Former Staffer’s Rape, Sexual Harassment and Trafficking Lawsuit

Billboard · 3 hours ago

Ye (formerly Kanye West) has settled a lawsuit brought by former staff member Lauren Pisciotta, who accused him of sexual harassment, assault and trafficking. A filing in a Los Angeles court on 28 July confirmed the rapper agreed to unconditionally settle the entire case, though the terms of the deal have not been disclosed, and Pisciotta's lawyer said only that "the matter has been resolved."

Pisciotta worked for Ye between 2021 and 2023, including as his personal assistant and chief of staff, before suing in 2024 over alleged sexual harassment, later amending the claim to include allegations of assault and trafficking, such as unwanted groping and rape. Ye's representatives had previously dismissed the claims as "outrageous" and "demonstrably false." The case is one of several lawsuits filed against Ye and his companies in recent years; he has already settled with Donda Academy teachers, while a former Malibu construction manager won a $140,000 jury verdict this spring, and other cases remain pending.
