Yeah Yeah Yeahs have released a new live album, Hidden in Pieces Live at the Royal Albert Hall, capturing a performance from their 2025 Hidden in Pieces Tour. The record documents the band's first appearance at the venue, for which they reworked around 24 songs into stripped-back arrangements for quartet and acoustic instrumentation alongside string arranger Jherek Bischoff. Frontwoman Karen O said the project grew from a need to reconnect with fans in 2025 following the US election, and the album is accompanied by Hidden in Pieces, a 22-minute black-and-white short film directed by Barnaby Clay.

The digital version of the album, with 13 tracks recorded at the Royal Albert Hall, is out now, while a physical release and digital deluxe edition follow on 23 October. The short film, released via the Criterion Channel, will also screen at select cinemas in the UK, Australia, Japan and the US from 21 September, with tickets going on sale 3 September; several screenings will be paired with films of the band's choosing, including Mulholland Drive and Eraserhead. Karen O dedicated the performance to David Lynch, who died shortly before the tour began.
