Keshet International has unveiled "The Escape" ("Ha'Bricha"), an eight-episode cross-border action thriller starring Yehuda Levi as a former Mossad operative. The series marks the latest addition to Keshet's growing international slate, which also includes projects for Netflix, Apple TV and Sony Pictures Television, underlining the Israeli studio's push into globally distributed genre drama.

Set largely in the Colombian jungle, the story follows the son of a religious cult leader who escapes but must leave behind his wife and child, prompting him to enlist Levi's character to rescue them before their pursuit triggers a violent clash with a drug cartel tied to the cult. The cast includes Ido Tako, Naya Bienstock, newcomer Roy Shachar Kremerman and Mark Ivanir, with filming carried out across Colombia, Georgia and Israel. Created and written by Ariel Cohen and directed by Yoav and Doron Paz for Keshet 12, the series will premiere in Israel later this year, with Keshet International handling worldwide distribution of both the finished show and its format.
