- The series has been renewed for a second season.
Explained simply
Yellowstone is a drama series about the Dutton family, who own a large ranch in Montana. Dutton Ranch follows Rip Wheeler, a ranch worker, and Beth Dutton, a member of the family; Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly play them.
The spin-off carries on stories from the original series, so knowing the characters’ relationships and the ranch setting helps explain its background. Its audience performance and renewal indicate that Paramount plans to continue the story, while the home-video release makes the first season available on disc.
