Yeon Sang-ho’s psychological thriller *Paradise Lost* has been sold to distributors in 118 territories and will have its US premiere at the Hawaii International Film Festival. The international sales and festival screenings signal broad interest in the film ahead of its release in South Korea.
Starring Hyun-joo Kim and Hyeon-seong Bae, the story follows a mother whose son vanished when a bus carrying children to camp disappeared nine years earlier; he later returns alive. CJ ENM said international sales revenue has exceeded the film’s net production budget.
