An all-star line-up of indie and alternative musicians performed at the Broad museum in Los Angeles on Saturday to pay tribute to Yoko Ono, the 93-year-old avant-garde artist and musician, at an event titled "Yoko Only: A Night Celebrating the Music of Yoko Ono." Ono herself did not attend, but the concert coincided with the museum's current exhibition, Yoko Ono: Music Of The Mind, and drew performers spanning several generations of underground rock and experimental music, underlining Ono's enduring influence on those scenes.

The show was curated by former Cibo Matto member Yuka Honda, who performed in the house band alongside her husband, Wilco guitarist Nels Cline, and the members of Yo La Tengo, longtime Ono collaborators. Yo La Tengo's Ira Kaplan wryly dedicated a cover of "What Did I Do!" to the Beatles, joking about the Plastic Ono Band split. Other performers included Kathleen Hanna and Corin Tucker covering "No, No, No," Sylvan Esso, Rufus Wainwright, Tune-Yards' Merrill Garbus, Deerhoof's Satomi Matsuzaki, and Ono's granddaughter Emi Helfrich, with many returning for a finale of "Woman Power."
