Somerset kept their One-Day Cup qualification hopes alive with a 188-run thrashing of Surrey, led by Tom Lammonby’s career-best List A score of 114. Leicestershire and Middlesex remained top of their respective groups after narrow wins, while several other results kept the race for the knockout stages closely contested.

Lammonby and Lewis Goldsworthy shared 152 for Somerset’s second wicket as they made 368-9, before Surrey were dismissed for 180. Leicestershire recovered from 10-3 and 43-4 to beat Warwickshire by three wickets, with Nick Kelly scoring 86, while Nottinghamshire beat Northamptonshire by six wickets and Lancashire defeated Gloucestershire by four wickets. Elsewhere, Worcestershire chased 334 against Sussex, Essex edged Glamorgan after Luc Benkenstein made 140, and Middlesex beat Durham.
