The Met Office has forecast a warm but changeable week for Yorkshire, with periods of rain and showers expected alongside spells of drier weather. The region will see temperatures climbing into the mid-20s Celsius early in the week before cooling and becoming windier as it progresses, with the shift affecting outdoor plans across the county through the weekend.

Monday will bring patchy rain or showers interspersed with brighter spells and highs of around 23-24C, ahead of overnight rain and freshening winds. From Tuesday to Thursday, conditions turn "changeable and windy" with showers or longer rain spells, while temperatures ease closer to normal levels. Bradford, Huddersfield, Leeds, Sheffield and York will all see highs in the low-to-mid 20s on Monday dropping to the mid-to-high teens by midweek, with light showers affecting most towns from Wednesday onwards. Friday to Sunday is expected to remain unsettled, with occasional rain arriving from the North Atlantic, strongest winds in the north and west, though drier, more settled spells are possible, particularly in southern areas.
