Yorkshire sign India international spinner Yadav
Yorkshire have signed India international spinner Kuldeep Yadav on a short-term deal covering part of this season's One-Day Cup and County Championship, strengthening their squad as the campaign heads into its closing stages. The 31-year-old left-arm wrist spinner joins immediately and will feature in Friday's One-Day Cup match against Glamorgan, with the club citing his experience as valuable given the dry summer conditions expected to favour spin bowling.
Yadav will play five One-Day Cup fixtures before returning in September for three of Yorkshire's last four County Championship matches. He has taken 79 Test wickets in 18 matches, including a 19-wicket haul against England in 2024, and has 194 ODI wickets to his name, though he missed all three of India's one-day internationals against England this summer. Yorkshire's general manager of cricket, Gavin Hamilton, said the signing would add "incredible strength" to the side.
