Universal Studios has released a preview of its new "Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness" haunted house, opening as part of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort and, shortly after, Universal Studios Hollywood. The attraction pays tribute to the late Black Sabbath frontman's four-decade solo career, drawing on imagery from all 13 of his albums to create an immersive experience that organisers say honours his cultural impact on music, art and horror.

The house guides visitors through Gothic-styled scenes inspired by album artwork from records including Blizzard Of Ozz, Diary Of A Madman and Bark At The Moon, featuring depictions of Osbourne as a werewolf, a "Crazy Train" sequence with him as conductor, and a recreation of the throne from his final concert. According to creative director Lora Sauls, highlights include an oversized bat "eating the head off a human" and 1980s-inspired dancing demons. The Orlando attraction opens on 28 August, with the Hollywood version following on 3 September; both will run until 1 November.
