A free London exhibition of previously unseen photographs from Yungblud’s “Idols” era will open on 20 November, bringing the collection to the UK after its debut in Sydney. Photographer and creative director Tom Pallant’s images document the album’s making and offer fans a view of the project beyond its performances.

The exhibition, titled “Yungblud: Idols”, will be held at Union Pacific, 17 Goulston Street. Its opening weekend includes an album playback on 20 November and a Q&A with Pallant the following day; further event details are yet to be announced. Signed fine-art prints will be available to buy, and the album, released last summer, reached No. 1 on the Official UK Albums Chart, Yungblud’s fourth UK chart-topper.

Explained simply

Yungblud is the stage name of British musician Dominic Harrison, known for rock music that draws on punk and alternative styles. “Idols” is one of his albums, and its creative period was photographed by Tom Pallant, who also works as Yungblud’s creative director.

An exhibition about the album brings together photographs and other material from its making. The images can offer a view of how the project took shape, while the album’s UK chart success helps explain the interest in a dedicated showcase.
