Speaking alongside producer Amy Pascal, Feige was initially cautious when asked about the film's placement, saying only "it takes place before" Doomsday, and clarifying it isn't set immediately beforehand. Pascal then provided the more precise detail, revealing the story unfolds four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, in which Peter Parker was erased from the world's memory. Brand New Day will follow Parker as he attempts to rebuild his life anonymously while the universe moves inexorably towards Doom.
