Rebel Wilson is set to make her feature directorial debut with the musical comedy film "The Deb," which now has a confirmed US digital release date. The announcement matters as it marks a significant career shift for Wilson, best known for acting roles in the "Pitch Perfect" franchise, "Bridesmaids" and "Jojo Rabbit," as she moves behind the camera for the first time after roughly 25 years in front of it.

"The Deb," starring Natalie Abbott and Charlotte MacInnes, will be available on digital platforms in the United States from 25 August, distributed via Sunrise Films and Vertigo Releasing. UK audiences will get access one day earlier, on 24 August, through Vertigo Releasing. The film's trailer was released at the end of 2025, and new exclusive poster artwork has now been unveiled alongside the release date confirmation.
