Lil Wayne shared a range of personal opinions during an appearance on the podcast Friends Keep Secrets, hosted by Lil Dicky, Benny Blanco and Kristin Batalucco. The New Orleans rapper discussed his fascination with extraterrestrials, his rap idols and an unusual food aversion, offering fans a lighter, more personal glimpse into his tastes and beliefs outside of music.

Wayne revealed he is a fan of the television series Ancient Aliens and referenced the conspiracy theory involving an alien known as "J-Rod", said to have survived a 1953 UFO crash in Arizona, offering his own theories about why aliens might look and behave as popular culture depicts. He also admitted he cannot stand the sight of milk, despite still eating cereal with it, and said he avoids other white, soft foods such as mashed potatoes, ranch dressing and mayonnaise. Asked to name his favourite rappers, he chose Jay-Z and Missy Elliott.
