Chicago rapper and author Noname has unveiled a new single titled 'Squatter,' featuring vocalist DRAM on the hook. The release marks her return to recording following last year's 'Hundred Acres' and precedes an upcoming anniversary tour celebrating her influential debut mixtape Telefone.

The song explores the scenario of an unwanted occupant in one's home who has taken studio equipment and personal belongings whilst refusing to contribute financially. Noname accompanied the announcement with a self-aware social media post referencing her parallel work as a book curator and librarian, framing the song as evidence that her literary pursuits haven't diminished her commitment to hip-hop. The single will appear on an upcoming project called Cartoon Radio.
