The Tubs – “Stoop To Me”
London-based indie band the Tubs have released "Stoop To Me," a new single from their forthcoming album Hard Life, offering fans another preview ahead of the record's autumn release. The band has built a reputation as one of the more reliably tuneful acts in the current indie rock scene, and this track follows their well-received lead single "Who's Gonna Love You Now," continuing the momentum around the album's rollout.
Frontman Owen Williams described "Stoop To Me" as the band's most power-pop offering yet, blending muscular guitar hooks with Celtic folk touches, including fiddle parts he likened to a "cider-drunk" feel and nods to musician Bob Mould. Lyrically, the song is written from the perspective of a paranoid, self-contradicting cheat. The accompanying video was directed by Kit Harwood, and Hard Life is set for release on 11th September via Merge Records.
