Insomniac Games has unveiled a new story trailer for its PlayStation 5 exclusive Marvel’s Wolverine at San Diego Comic-Con, offering its clearest account yet of the game’s plot. The story will centre on Wolverine and Jean Grey protecting vulnerable mutants from escalating threats, while exploring Logan’s lost memories and a relationship positioned as an emotional core of the game.

The trailer confirms appearances from Bolivar Trask, Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike, Sabretooth, The Reavers and The Hand, with Wolverine fighting alongside Team X. Insomniac also confirmed the game is set on Earth-1048, placing it in the same continuity as its Marvel’s Spider-Man titles, though no Spider-Man crossover was announced; Jean Grey is described as an independent, forthright ally building a refuge for mutants.
