Manchester Super Giants beat London Spirit by seven runs at Lord’s in The Hundred, overcoming a powerful all-round display from Spirit captain Liam Livingstone. His 69 from 40 balls and two wickets kept the chase alive, but Sonny Baker’s composed final five deliveries secured victory for the visitors.

Super Giants posted 138-9 after Tim Seifert made 67 from 45 balls, while Livingstone took 2-14 as Spirit triggered a collapse of seven wickets for 35 runs. Spirit finished on 131-6: Livingstone hit five sixes, but Baker conceded only four runs at the death, bowling him and taking James Coles’ wicket from the final ball.
