Tom Holland has suggested that his Spider-Man will eventually encounter the Venom symbiote, saying fans will see it “one day”. The comment has renewed speculation that the alien substance could feature in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, particularly after the film’s trailer appeared to show Peter Parker undergoing a transformation.

A fragment of the symbiote was left in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, making a future storyline possible. IGN notes that Brand New Day already has several villains, so the symbiote may be saved for a later film or used to set up Holland’s role in future Avengers films; the film is due for release on 31 July 2026.
