MindsEye has multiplayer and a grenade football mode now, which the handful of people still playing it will no doubt be thrilled to hear

MindsEye’s Update 8 introduces multiplayer, led by a new Grenade Football mode in which teams use grenade launchers to propel a ball into the opposition’s goal. The update is significant because it delivers a multiplayer feature previously promised by developer Build a Rocket Boy, though it arrives while the game continues to have a very small active player base.

Grenade Football supports 6v6 matches and cross-play across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Update 8 also adds social features including parties and voice and text chat, a single-player Silva E-Series: Summer Circuits time trial, and further tools and improvements for player-created content.

  • MindsEye now has cross-platform multiplayer.
  • Grenade Football turns football into a launcher-based 6v6 mode.
  • The update also adds social features and time trials.
