A 67-year-old man from The Villages retirement community in central Florida has been arrested after an alleged dispute connected to a “sugar baby” arrangement escalated into a vehicle collision and a reported gun threat. Police say the case involves allegations that he chased a young woman, rammed a car into a telephone pole and pointed a rifle, leading to an aggravated-assault charge.

The man, David Allen O’Brien, was arrested on Tuesday. The report describes the alleged victim as being in her early twenties, while the dispute reportedly followed money he had paid in connection with the arrangement; the allegations have not been tested in court.
