Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls open beta beaten and bashed by PC performance issues, Arc System Works “apologise for the impact this has had on your experience”

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls' pre-launch open beta ended over the weekend after PC players encountered widespread performance and gameplay problems, prompting developer Arc System Works to issue a public apology. The issues add to a rocky beta period that also saw PlayStation Network problems at launch, raising concerns ahead of the fighting game's full release, which is scheduled for very soon.

Arc System Works acknowledged the PC troubles on social media early Saturday UK time, saying its team was investigating and would provide updates, while apologising "for the impact this has had on your experience." The studio followed up with a six-part thread of community-suggested troubleshooting steps, such as running the shader warm-up, adjusting display and Nvidia settings, disabling capture software and verifying game files to address a Steam anti-cheat error, though it stressed these were unofficial and not confirmed fixes. A post-beta survey has been launched to gather player feedback, with the studio hoping to resolve or mitigate the issues before Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls launches fully on 6th August, a date further complicated by the game remaining unavailable for purchase in a large number of countries, likely due to its PlayStation Network account requirements.
