Robin Schwartz Joins Liz Garbus & Dan Cogan’s Story Syndicate As Head Of Scripted; Company Re-Ups Tomorrow Studios Deal

Deadline · 4 hours ago

Robin Schwartz has joined Story Syndicate, the production company run by Liz Garbus and Dan Cogan, as Head of Scripted, taking charge of all scripted development and production. Her appointment coincides with the company renewing its first-look television deal with Tomorrow Studios, the ITV Studios-backed venture led by Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements, reinforcing Story Syndicate's push to build on its recent scripted output alongside its established documentary work.

Schwartz, a veteran television executive, was most recently President of Television at FilmNation and previously led the TV divisions of Regency and Big Beach, as well as running her own Working Bird banner under Tomorrow Studios. She succeeds Nellie Reed, who has departed to launch Short Stack Productions with an overall deal at A24. Schwartz will be based in Los Angeles, overseeing executive Carolyn Daucher, and joins a slate that includes Netflix's straight-to-series drama So Far Gone, a Claus von Bülow limited series at Apple TV written by Jack Thorne, and an HBO Max police procedural inspired by Geraldine Hart.
