Country singer Willow Avalon has released her new album, Pink Pocket Pistol, which she frames as part of a broader push by women to reshape country music on their own terms rather than any industry-led shift. The 27-year-old Georgia native, who struggled to find an audience before her 2025 debut Southern Belle Raisin' Hell took off online, says the new record continues her mix of Southern sweetness with darker, provocative themes, resonating strongly with young women listeners.

The 14-track album, recorded at RCA Studio A in Nashville, was released in June via Atlantic Outpost/Assemble Sound and features guest appearances from Jason Isbell and Midland, alongside a duet with fellow rising artist Kaitlin Butts on the tongue-in-cheek "murder song" Hypothetically Speaking. Avalon describes the album as both modern and progressive in its songwriting while sonically evoking 1960s Nashville, and as a tribute to the strong, assertive Southern women in her own family who shaped her outlook.
