San Diego Comic-Con 2026 delivered a wave of trailers and first looks at major upcoming films and television series, offering fans an early glimpse at the year's biggest genre entertainment. Highlights included the first official trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, new footage from DC Studios' Clayface, HBO Max's Lanterns series, Zach Cregger's Resident Evil adaptation, and a Season 3 tease for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, among others.

Key reveals included Avengers: Doomsday footage showing Robert Downey Jr's Doctor Doom halting Thor's Stormbreaker, alongside appearances from X-Men characters, the Fantastic Four and other Marvel heroes; Marvel also screened exclusive unreleased Hall H footage depicting Doom raising an army of Sentinels. Clayface, starring a disfigured actor turned monster, is due in cinemas on 23 October 2026, while Lanterns, starring Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre, premieres on HBO Max on 16 August 2026. Resident Evil features Austin Abrams, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis and Paul Walter Hauser, and The Rings of Power's third season arrives on Prime Video this November.
