At San Diego Comic-Con, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" star Tenoch Huerta gave Collider an update on his role as Namor in the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday", confirming that his character will not share any scenes with Robert Downey Jr's Doctor Doom. Huerta explained that although the two never interact directly, Doom's actions have consequences that ripple out and affect every character in the story, describing the villain's rage as something that "poisons" everyone else. The revelation clarifies how the vast ensemble cast, drawn from across the Multiverse, will be woven together in the film.

Huerta also praised Robert Downey Jr's performance as Doctor Doom and spoke warmly of directors Anthony and Joe Russo, saying they remain open to actors' suggestions during filming. The comments came amid a busy Comic-Con weekend for Marvel, which also saw Ryan Gosling confirmed as the next Ghost Rider for a 2028 film and David Jonsson announced as the new Black Panther for a film due in December 2028. "Avengers: Doomsday", directed by the Russo brothers, is set for release on 18 December 2026.
