Marvel Tōkon’s developer has apologised to PC players for the beta’s performance issues, with only a week until launch

PC Gamer · 3 hours ago

Arc System Works has apologised after PC players reported serious performance problems during Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls’ open beta, including stuttering, low frame rates and unusually high CPU use. The issue matters because the fighting game is due to launch on 6 August, leaving the developer little time to restore confidence among PC players.

The beta ran on PC and PlayStation 5 from 24 to 26 July, but the PC version was also affected by login and stability complaints. The developer said it was investigating the reported gameplay and performance issues, while reports suggested anti-datamining protections may have contributed; that explanation has not been confirmed by the developer.
