Danzig’s Deth Red Sabaoth Gets Reissue on Multiple Formats

Consequence · 4 hours ago

Danzig are reissuing their 2010 album Deth Red Sabaoth on 21 August via Cleopatra Records, offering it on vinyl, CD and cassette. The reissue arrives as secondhand physical copies of the record, including the 2022 repress, have become increasingly hard to find, with most editions now selling for more than $100. The ninth studio album marked the band's comeback after a six-year hiatus during which members pursued other projects, and was praised at the time for returning to the doomy, bluesy sound of Danzig's original three-album run.

The new pressing will come in several vinyl colourways, including black, black/red haze, and blood splatter horror swirl, alongside standard CD and cassette editions. A limited run of black vinyl test pressings will also be sold at a steep $750. The announcement coincides with Danzig preparing for a September tour with support from Twin Temple, Burning Witches and ANA.
