Unbeaten leaders Brave beat bottom side Phoenix
Southern Brave maintained their unbeaten start in the women’s Hundred by beating bottom-placed Birmingham Phoenix by 24 runs at the Utilita Bowl. The victory strengthens Brave’s position at the top of the table, while Phoenix’s chase faltered after a promising opening partnership.
Brave made 140-3, led by Maia Bouchier’s 45 and Lizelle Lee’s 43 in a 68-run opening stand. Phoenix reached 73 without loss but finished on 116-5 despite Davina Perrin’s 52; Brave are now six points clear at the top, while Phoenix remain bottom after two wins and a no-result from three matches.
