The messages may hint at Doom’s outlook in Avengers: Doomsday, but they do not confirm plot developments; their significance is chiefly as promotional world-building around Downey’s new Marvel role.

The translated phrases include “There is no promise of tomorrow”, “Justice”, “Revenge” and “To the victor go the spoils”, the latter echoing Doom’s comic-book first name, Victor. The decoding used symbols previously shown on “Dom Latveria” coffee packaging, which appears to map largely one-to-one onto the English alphabet, although some jacket text remains unread.
