The visiting team failed to land in Northern Ireland on Monday because of paperwork problems with their chartered flight, and their players and staff are not now expected to arrive until Tuesday afternoon, just hours before the scheduled 20:00 BST kick-off.

Uefa rules state that a team must arrive in the host country at least 24 hours before a match, meaning FC Iberia 1999 could formally request a delay given the circumstances of their late arrival. Larne, FC Iberia 1999 and Uefa have all been approached for comment. The second leg is set for Tbilisi on 11 August, with the winner facing either Rangers or Poland's Jagiellonia Białystok, while the loser drops into the Conference League's final qualifying round; Larne made history in 2024 as the first Irish Premiership club to reach the league phase of a European competition.
