A$AP Rocky has discussed how his partner, Rihanna, helped him move from a self-described promiscuous lifestyle to a committed relationship, in a preview clip of an interview with his close friend Jason Lee. The rapper credited her loyalty and emotional support, rather than her fame or wealth, for winning him over, recalling that she personally comforted him following his father's death.

In the clip, released on 3 August ahead of the full interview airing 5 August, Rocky recounted a moment in Paris around Christmas 2012 when he learned of his father's death shortly after his debut album reached number one, saying Rihanna arrived at his side despite him not answering his phone. The couple confirmed their relationship in October 2020 and now have three children together: four-year-old son RZA, three-year-old son Riot and ten-month-old daughter Rocki.
