Barry Manilow called off his Lexington performance at Rupp Arena as the venue doors were about to open on Tuesday, offering only a vague explanation of "unforeseen circumstances" without elaborating on the specific reason. The venue pledged to honour all existing ticket purchases once it announces a rescheduled date.

This marks the second time the Lexington show has been postponed following Manilow's lung cancer diagnosis and surgery announced in December. After undergoing the procedure, the singer spent much of early 2026 reorganising his farewell tour schedule, cancelling performances including a Las Vegas residency and his planned Pacific Northwest dates. Having recovered and returned to touring, Manilow is now cancer-free and has released his first new album in fifteen years.
