Xbox is rolling out a fresh batch of console features, starting with Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring before a wider release. The update focuses on improving how players capture and manage gaming moments, track achievements, and safeguard their progress, reflecting Microsoft's ongoing effort to refine the Xbox experience despite recent price increases on its consoles.

Key additions include the ability to capture party chat audio alongside gameplay clips, with individual participants able to opt in or out. Achievement tracking is being expanded with new sorting options such as Last Played, Completion Percentage and Gamerscore Earned, while cloud saves will allow players to view and restore previous versions, beginning with Forza Horizon 6. The game wishlist is also being expanded to hold up to 1,000 titles, and the news follows price rises of up to $150 in the US and £220 in the UK on some Xbox Series X and S models.
