xAI's Grokipedia, the AI-generated encyclopaedia Elon Musk touted as a "massive improvement" over Wikipedia, appears to have stalled, with reports indicating no content has changed in over three months. According to a report from Lawfare, no entry has been updated since 24 April, despite the platform continuing to accept suggested articles and edits from users, raising questions about whether the project has effectively been abandoned.

Grokipedia launched as v0.1 in October 2025 with an initial 885,000 articles, before expanding to v0.2 in November 2025 and growing to more than six million articles in total. Lawfare's analysis examined 34,519 pages containing 225,496 suggested edits and found none had been accepted or rejected within the past three months, while the site's own "recent changes" section now shows no live edits. xAI has not responded to a request for comment, and Musk himself last mentioned Grokipedia on X back in February, prompting users on Reddit and X to speculate the project may be dead.
