London Spirit became the first team eliminated from The Hundred 2026 after losing by four wickets to MI London at Lord's, in front of a record group-stage crowd of 27,721. The result compounds a difficult season for Spirit under head coach Andy Flower, who have managed only one win in six matches, while MI London's victory lifts them to second in the table and boosts their knockout prospects.
Chasing 161 to win, MI London appeared behind the required rate before Sam Curran (33) and Sikandar Raza, playing his first game of the campaign, combined in a rapid stand, with Raza striking four sixes in a knock of 32 off 16 balls. Nicholas Pooran made 39 before being run out by David Willey, but Tom Curran and the newly recalled England Test player Ollie Pope guided the chase home with six balls remaining. Earlier, Spirit had posted 160-5, built around Lhuan-Dre Pretorius's 52 off 28 balls, before he was brilliantly caught by Will Jacks near the boundary.
