Montréal-born, Ottawa-based artist Eau the Music has released ‘In This Silence’, the first single from her forthcoming debut album, ‘Light in the Dark’. The self-produced track blends dream pop, shoegaze and alternative rock, and introduces a project shaped by personal reflection on identity, love, loss and change.

Eau the Music, pronounced “O the Music”, wrote, produced and mixed the album independently despite having no formal musical training. She describes the song as an exploration of life’s in-between periods, ultimately encouraging listeners to find value in stillness; while the record began as a solo project, it is performed live with a full band.
