Take-Two Interactive has said Grand Theft Auto 6 remains scheduled for release on 19 November 2026, following strong early preorder demand. The company believes a six-hour Netflix-exclusive presentation, Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look, due on 27 August, will further build interest ahead of launch; the game is expected to be central to Take-Two’s growth this financial year.

The publisher reported $1.39 billion in quarterly net bookings, slightly above its forecast, while GTA 5 sales surpassed 230 million copies worldwide. Take-Two did not disclose GTA 6 preorder totals, although external analysis estimated about $180 million in digital preorders across the US and five major European markets in late June; it forecasts annual net bookings of $8–$8.2 billion, roughly 20% growth at the midpoint.
