Social media creators are increasingly hiring remote video editors in India and other countries as demand grows for polished, attention-grabbing content. The trend matters because editors are becoming creative partners rather than simply clip-makers, helping creators retain viewers and produce both short videos and longer podcasts.

YT Jobs says it has more than 250,000 editors registered, up about 50 per cent from last year, with nearly 80 per cent based outside the US. Editors use tools such as Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve, while rates range from about $30 an hour to more than $1,000 per project; highly skilled editors may earn more than some US-based counterparts.
