Vera Blue has covered Radiohead’s 1992 song ‘Creep’ for Australian radio station triple j’s Like A Version, presenting it as a sparse, haunting performance. The cover highlights her vocal range and arrives ahead of her forthcoming third studio album, Modern Rituals, helping to promote its release and accompanying Australian tour.
Her arrangement used electric guitar, piano and vocals, later adding a mouth-controlled SOMA Laboratory effects processor called The Pipe. Blue also performed new album track ‘Maze’; Modern Rituals is due on 21 August via Island Records/Universal Music Australia, with a six-date tour running from Brisbane to Perth between 21 and 28 August.
