Morrissey has cancelled all four shows of his planned residency at the Wynn Las Vegas' Encore Theater, just a week before the run was due to open on 14 August. The cancellation continues a well-established pattern for the former Smiths frontman, who has reportedly scrapped more than 100 live shows since 2012 for reasons ranging from death threats and exhaustion to financial disputes and noisy hotels. He cancelled or postponed 32 shows in 2025 alone and began 2026 by postponing a January California date over a reaction to prescription medication.
