BBC Sport · 3 hours ago

Sunrisers Leeds kept their hopes of reaching The Hundred's knockout phase alive with a six-wicket win over Welsh Fire at Headingley, a result that also eliminated Fire from top-three contention. Opener Phoebe Litchfield produced a match-winning innings in the must-win contest, powering Sunrisers to their target with plenty of balls to spare and lifting her side to fourth in the table.

Chasing 121-8, Sunrisers were guided by Litchfield's 55 off just 25 balls, including six fours and three sixes, before Annabel Sutherland (28 off 18) and then Dani Gibson and Jess Jonassen finished the job with 26 balls remaining. Earlier, disciplined bowling from Deepti Sharma (3-13) and Hannah Baker (2-15) restricted Fire to 121-8, despite an unbeaten 72 off 45 balls from Freya Kemp, who survived three dropped catches. Sunrisers move to 16 points, two behind third-placed Manchester Super Giants, whom they face at Old Trafford on Tuesday with a place in the Eliminator at stake.
