Peter Ho-Sun Chan’s Toronto Title ‘The Road Not Taken’ Picked Up By Moebius For Sales

Hong Kong-based Moebius Entertainment has acquired international sales rights to Peter Ho-sun Chan's new film The Road Not Taken, which will have its world premiere in the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival this year. The deal keeps alive Chan and Moebius's working relationship, which began with She Has No Name, giving the veteran director another high-profile platform to launch a film to global audiences and buyers.

The Road Not Taken stars Zhou Xun, Wang Xiao and Tian Zhuangzhuang, and follows a middle-aged former TV host whose fading memory forces her to confront family fractures and past choices. Chan co-wrote the script with Wu Huiling and co-produced with Yee Chung-man, with Zeng Jian as cinematographer and Diana Lin and Wen Qi also in the cast. Moebius founder and CEO Fred Tsui, who is set to become Executive Director of the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society on 23 September, said he acquired the film before his new appointment and will not take on further sales projects, though Moebius will still handle this pre-existing commitment's international sales campaign.
